Why maximum stakes can vary
On the Sportsbook, the maximum amount you can stake is not the same for every bet. It is set automatically and can be higher or lower depending on the event and market you choose. This is normal and helps keep odds and markets stable for everyone.
What affects your maximum stake
The competition: Major leagues and top events usually have higher limits than minor or niche competitions.
The market: Main markets (for example, match winner) typically allow larger stakes than more specific markets (for example, individual player props).
Timing: Limits can change as an event gets closer to kickoff, and differ between pre-match and live betting.
Live vs pre-match: In-play markets can have different limits because odds move quickly during an event.
Why a bet might be rejected
Stake above the maximum: If your stake is higher than the current limit for that selection, lower it and try again.
Odds changed: If the odds moved while you were placing the bet, you may need to accept the new price first.
Market suspended or closed: Markets can be suspended during key moments of a live event or closed once an event starts. Wait for the market to reopen, or choose another market.
Combo limits: For combo bets, if any single selection is above its limit, the whole combo is rejected. Try removing or adjusting that selection.
What you can do
Reduce your stake to the maximum allowed and place the bet again.
Split a large bet across markets, or try a higher-tier competition or main market.
Wait a moment and retry if a live market was briefly suspended.
